Lee Wrap

$10.00

Wrap yourself in squishy, reversible texture. This wearable blanket is worked from the top down, all in one piece with no stitches to pick up and seamless set-in sleeves. Two-stitch cable twists are worked without a cable needle on both sides of the fabric for the oversized collar and fronts flowing into a slipped rib texture for back. This pattern includes extensive sizing detail along with a worksheet to adjust sleeve circumference for an absolutely perfect fit.

Experience: Pattern is written for adventurous beginning knitters. Knitters should be comfortable with tracking several easy stitch patterns & basic increasing and decreasing. Knitters should be willing to learn how to work the twists featured on both sides of the fabric. Instructions for twists are written and a video tutorial is also available. Instructions for optional Tubular Hems are also provided.

Sizing: Wrap is shown in Size 2 with no ease at the Upper Arm. Model’s actual chest circumference is 1.5”/4 cm larger than the corresponding “To Fit Chest” measurement. Model’s actual crossback width is 2”/5 cm smaller than garment crossback. Lee Wrap is a rectangular cardigan with seamless set-in sleeves. Because of the unconventional shape and easy fit of this cardigan, “To Fit” measurements are provided in lieu of a Finished Chest Circumference, as the luscious oversized collar is not meant to overlap. Consider both your chest circumference and your crossback to choose your size.

YARN NOTE: I chose to use a fingering weight yarn held double for this project in lieu of alternating skeins. By holding the yarn double, the hand- dyed variations are accounted for in the fabric because each strand is unique. If working this project with a DK or light worsted weight yarn that's worked single at gauge, be sure to alternate skeins. If alternating, I recommend doing so on the wrong side at the marker between the Rib and Shifty Rib as opposed to at the end of the row; this way, your yarn twists won't show on the edge of your garment.
