Sydney by Kate Oates is a form-fitting (if you so desire), voluptuous cowl neck pullover perfect for the chilly fall weather. The construction of this sweater is the focus point and fun puzzle of this sweater—the set-in sleeves are worked in the round! Yes, the sleeves, back, and front are all joined at the underarm and then worked contiguously. The glorious cowl is picked up and worked in the round. All you have to do is find the perfect buttons for this star piece of knitwear!

Yarn: Hudson + West Co. Forge (70% U.S. Merino / 30% U.S. Corriedale; 235 yds / 215 m; 3.5 oz / 100 g): lake (denim blue), 7 (7, 8, 8, 9, 10, 10, 11, 12, 12, 13, 14) skeins.
Needles: Size A: (for body): US 7 (4.5 mm): 32” (80 cm) or longer circular needle.
Size B: (for body ribbing, sleeves and sleeve ribbing): US 6 (4 mm): 32” (80 cm) or longer circular needle and set of 5 DPNs.
Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.Notions: Tapestry needle; stitch markers; 10 buttons 1” (2.5 cm) in diameter.
Gauge: 19 sts and 26 rows = 4” (10 cm) in Cable Pattern on Size A needle.
20 sts and 27 rows = 4” 10 cm in St st on Size B needle.
