i can’t wait to see you this fall!
read on for your need-to-knows followed by the thorough Itinerary
ko retreats are luxurious, exclusive gatherings with a perfect balance between relaxation & learning opportunities, outings & downtime with respect to each experience we share together. i’ve never been to vermont, but it’s been on my to-go list forever. when I talked with aileen of oq farm, i knew that her farm was the perfect location for my next getaway. within our itinerary, there will be plenty of time to cozy up with your knitting, get to know one another and of course, hang out with your knitting bestie(s)—whether you happen to come with or make a friend or 10. we will be taking a charter bus to the fabulous vermont sheep & wool festival (less than an hour away), enjoy delicious meals and be treated to workshops from both myself & local artisans who have so much to share from history to technique. I want to make sure each and every one of my guests has an incredibly memorable long weekend with all of their needs taken care of, knowing how absolutely honored I am to have them along. each event is included in your retreat fee, but you are more than welcome to hang back anytime you’d like to sleep in, walk the farm, knit in one of the many cozy spaces or do whatever makes you happy.

Stitchin’ basics
before you arrive: prior to the retreat, each guest will be provided with detailed information about what to bring for any of the workshops. we will also have a discord group so we can chat and get to know each other ahead of time!
stay comfy! this note just might be more for me than for you ☺️ but I really do mean it. when I planned our getaway, I made sure that you could wear absolutely anything you want for each and every experience. you are welcome to bring on your fancy, but aside from the Sheep & wool festival, we will be staying on-site: you don’t have to feel any pressure to dress anything but cozy & casual throughout.
all retreat experiences are included in your fee. if something doesn’t pique your interest, you’re more than welcome to hang back or create your own adventure instead! see 👆🏽 there is no pressure on your time, just promise me you’ll relax and enjoy yourself each and every minute.
this page features the retreat schedule. holly & michelle are world-class creatives and I couldn’t be more excited to have their invaluable skillsets as a part of stitchin’ vermont. the workshops I’ve prepared are 1.5-2 hours long and feature essential skills for every knitter. as for my previous retreat, i’ve curated our schedule so that you can enjoy lazy mornings as you wish, whether that’s sleeping in, knitting with coffee, enjoying the sunrise or visiting all the sweet farm animals.
eat well. our personal chef will be preparing several meals for us, our breakfast is provided by the farm and you’ll find lots of snacks and treats in the kitchen, at all times. lunch will be on your own so that you can choose your own menu. your retreat fee includes all breakfasts/brunches and suppers along with plenty of snacks & non-alcoholic beverages. we will have 3 meals with “bevvies” (aka mixed-drink treats 🍹) including from-scratch brunch bloody marys, mimosas & our retreat toast 🥂 on our final evening together. when you register for the retreat, you’ll have the opportunity to share any allergies, dietary restrictions or food preferences and you will be accommodated for every retreat meal.
take care. i’m fully committed to providing my guests with royal treatment in every way possible. you deserve it. I’ve got a crewmember coming with me so that you’ll be able to get assistance with anything you require during the retreat, even if i’m teaching when something comes up. additionally, we will handle any & all clean-up. all we will ask is that you leave any dirty dishes in the kitchen area—everything else is on us, including check-out procedures. I genuinely want you to waltz in & out without a backwards glance. i’ll say it again: you deserve it.
come back now ya hear! I’ve always loved hosting. we built our current home a few years ago with special attention to designing a welcoming space for family gatherings, kid’s pre-game team dinners, post-season parties & even my annual holiday cookie party. i’m so thrilled to be hostessing this experience as my second retreat. all retreat guests enjoy early registration opportunity for all future retreats.
without further ado
Here’s that schedule I keep talking about
-
Check-in is at 1pm, after that you’ll have plenty of time to settle in. Nothing will be scheduled this afternoon, as I know that not everyone will be able to time their arrival precisely!
That evening, we will have our first dinner from our private chef. I’m excited to sit & knit with everyone on Friday as we get to know each other.
-
It’s Festival time! We’ll have a welcome brunch followed by hopping on our fab charter bus, which will take us to the Vermont Fiber Festival. We don’t have to worry about parking or driving, and I will even have your tickets purchased in advance. We will stay the entire day and you can shop as you wish. Then, the bus will take us back to our home away from home where we will once again have dinner from our private chef.
-
On Sunday, we’ll start with breakfast and have 2 workshops, one from me and one from Holly or Michelle (TBD which day each of them will be teaching!)
You’ll have more farm exploration time and this might also be the day we get to feed the sheep & alpacas.
-
On our last full day together, we'll wake up with Monday Mimosas and stay on-site. During the day you'll have the opportunity to jump in on another KO workshop and one from Holly or Michelle—whichever we didn’t enjoy on Sunday.
We will toast to our retreat during another dinner from our private chef, champagne and/or prosecco will be provided to guests.
-
I won't send you on your way without sustenance: breakfast will be ready and waiting when you wake. It’s so hard to say goodbye, but I’ll be hoping you’re leaving feeling nice and relaxed and with new goodies from the festival, your swag bag & perhaps something from my boutique!
