Doesn’t your grandpa have a cozy cardigan to wear around the house? Mine does, and now my son has one to keep him snug and warm too. Cardigan is worked from the bottom up. Shawl collar is extended with short rows to be wider at the neckline. Cabling is worked on the fronts and modified for the sleeves, and the back is knit in a wide-wale rib.
