To Market

My kids love helping me shop at our southern local market where we pick up cucumbers, onions, peppers, squash, mushrooms, eggs, sweet potatoes (for my little sweet potatoes) and old fashioned milk jugs. And of course, they need a little basket to carry it all! Now that they’ve got all their ingredients, I’m sure I can expect some extra delicious dishes. Does mommy get a break from fixing dinner now that the kids have their own supplies? Veggies are worked in the round on DPNs and stuffed as you go. Basket is knit on circular needles and starched with sugar water after completion for shaping. These seamless little projects make a fabulous gift for a baby or child in your life that has a love for the kitchen.
