An infusion of color and texture define this sweet & light seamless raglan pullover. Even more delicious–it’s perfect for using leftover yarns from other projects, now that’s what I call the cherry on top! This sweater is worked from the top down and includes a variety of stitch patterns and fibers. It features a boatneck with an oversized chest & body alongside fitted sleeves. Instructions are included for 3 different sleeve lengths. If you’d like to extend the length of the body, simply work individual sections longer, or add more of them prior to working your hem. Along with the standard yardage information for the patterned sweater, this design also includes yardage per inch, size & section in case you’d like to create a shorter or longer sweater & separate yardage for the hem and cuffs should you like to add a 5th color to the mix.

Sizing: Sweater is shown in Size 2 with approximately 8"/20.5 cm ease in the chest. This sweater is designed to be oversized in the chest with fitted sleeves. Use the to-fit guidance provided, or choose a size that is 8-12”/20.5-30.5 cm larger than your actual chest measurement for the best fit. If you prefer to knit a size with less ease in the bust, keep in mind that you might need to adjust your upper arm stitch count: the patterned upper arm circumference is based on the recommended ease in the chest.

Skills needed: Pattern is written for adventurous beginning knitters ready to track shaping in different garment sections, picking up stitches, short row shaping, easy cabling and yarnovers in addition to basic techniques. Written instructions are provided for basic Wrap & Turn short rows and optional Tubular Hems.

Yarn note: This sweater was designed to be worked with either leftover yarn you may have on hand or new yarns you’d like to try in small doses! Mixing and matching yarns with different fiber contents, texture and color is encouraged as is featured in the sample. Most fingering to sport weight yarns will work, but using fibers with a high wool content in the Stacked Star & Bobbled sections of the garment (shown in color C, gold)  is recommended. When swatching, be sure that you achieve the pattern gauge with both colors A & B as they are worked in the critical fit areas (chest and upper arm). Yardage provided for C in the pattern information is the total; see the Yardage Chart on page 5 for breakout information on the neckline, hem & cuffs should you want to work any of these sections in a different color.
